Going Going…Scone!

July 26, 2012

These scones are so yummy – they don’t last long!

And they are so easy to make with very few ingredients. Perfect when friends drop by unexpectedly as you can freeze them too.

3 cups of Self-Raising Flour (sifted)
1 cup of Lemonade
1 cup of Thick Cream
Sultanas (optional)
Milk (to brush)

1. Preheat oven to 220°C.
2. Mix ingredients.
3. Knead and flatten dough (with hands) to around 2cm and form small scone shapes. Brush tops with milk.
4. Place on a greased tray and in the oven for 15 minutes.
5. Serve with your favourite jam and cream

What do you guys make when family/friends drop by unexpectedly?

Yummy! I love scones. I’m ashamed to say that I never bake anything when people come over. It’s usually off to the bakery I go instead… 🙂

I love scones! I haven’t made them in a while though. And sadly when guests unexpectedly arrive, we just phone the local pizza restaurant 😉

I made a batch recently to take over to my friend with twins and she was so grateful. So easy to make!
