18 months and smiling

May 14, 2012

Dear Lily

You are are such a fun little girl. It’s incredible seeing how you continue to grow up so quickly.

My favourite thing you do is grabbing my head with both hands, kissing me on my forehead and saying MWAH! I also love how you play hide and seek and you really believe that you disappear when you crouch down behind the table and cover your eyes with your hands.

As you were a moody baby who seemed to cry all the time it’s good to see you more settled and cheerful as a toddler. You wake up in the morning with a smile so wide like a cheshire cat and you keep that same cheeky grin planted on your face all day.

You are beginning to describe nouns like ‘blue car’ and ‘big bubble’ and you are such a chatterbox that you talk yourself to sleep!

Mummy had quite a bad night last week. It was like you sensed I was down so you did that favourite thing of mine and gave me extra kisses during the night.

I’m so lucky to have a daughter like you and blessed to have had such a lovely Mother’s Day yesterday.

Love your Mummy x

Aw, how sweet of Lily to give you extra kisses! My toddler also does hide and seek and they really swear they’ve got the best hiding place even though they’re just under a blanket haha. Happy 18 months to your little girl 🙂

18 months already! That means I’ve been following you blog for around 2 years!
The first post of yours I read was about the first time you felt Lily move when you were pregnant with her.
So lovely watching and reading about her growing up.
Love the MWAH! Cute! I’m trying to teach Abi ‘kiss kiss’ most of the time I just get a nose covered in slobber!

She is sooo cute and beautiful! And that is amazing that she is putting two words together like that! What an early talker you have there. Smart little girl…
    Happy mother’s day!
